Yellow Fever Requirements

Tanzania requires proof of Yellow Fever vaccination upon arrival only if you are traveling from or have spent more than 12 hours in transit through a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission.

If you are flying directly from Europe or the US with brief layovers in countries like Qatar or the UAE, the certificate is generally not required, but bringing one is highly recommended for peace of mind. Note: If entering Tanzania from neighboring Kenya, the certificate is strictly required! We also advise bringing standard anti-malarial medication.
